Why use Cotswold House Hunter?

Many buyers are too busy to trawl around their search area, identifying towns or villages that work best for them. As search agents we identify your most suitable properties. We also know the areas to avoid, such as flood plains, flight paths, broadband black spots and so on.

Discerning buyers use us for this local knowledge and, most importantly, our extensive list of contacts, giving access to off-market property.

Estate agents like dealing with search agents because they know that our buyers are with funds and are serious - which is good news for their vendors.

Through our network, we are in contact with people who have bought from us (or others) previously and we know who to approach when they are looking for a private sale.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the whole of the Cotswolds including Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

Who are your clients?

We predominantly act for private individuals who are looking for either their primary residence or a second home. We also help investors who may be looking to build their property portfolio.

Our clients may be individuals who are already based in the Cotswolds but simply do not have the time to dedicate hours on end trawling through property details, or they might be looking to relocate from further afield, even overseas. All these people rely on our local knowledge.

Can you help negotiate the price?

Yes, absolutely! A very good reason for using us is that we understand the local market. Initially some clients question the need to pay a search agent fee but quickly realise that we don’t just secure them the perfect property, but we often save more than the cost of our fees on the purchase price through our experienced negotiation skills.

Why do you know about off market properties?

We are in regular contact with all the estate agents in the areas that we cover. We have built up good relationships over the years and are known and trusted. Estate agents like dealing with search agents as we understand the sales process and act as ‘middle man’, negating their need to deal with buyers’ surveyors, solicitors and so on.
